Dr. James A. Carley is a licensed specialist in orthodontics. He completed a four-year accredited dental school and a two-year orthodontic residency. Orthodontics means “corrected teeth”: treatment that improves both the look of the smile and the way the bite works.
Children, adolescents, and adults are welcome. A treatment plan is designed for each case, in understandable terms, for patients and parents.
We evaluate the number of teeth, alignment, bite, lips, tongue, cheeks, and skeletal profile — with no obligation to begin treatment.
The office has served this community for 40+ years. Start at the right time so appliances are worn only as long as needed.
Dr. Carley has been practicing orthodontics for over 40 years. He was raised in Crescent City in Central Illinois. He and his wife, Linda, moved to Pontiac in October 1980 and opened the practice. They have 7 children. The 5 older children are all in the health field, including a son and his wife who are dentists in Pontiac.

A dentist referral is welcome, but never required. Patients can come straight to the office and schedule at any time. We also take referrals from families and friends, and we appreciate the confidence you show when you send someone to our care.
